Our food philosophy – a taste of Marlborough
Our aim is to provide fresh local produce to complement the local wines and
boutique beers we have to offer. Our food is always freshly prepared and
where possible sourced from local farmers and merchants.
For example, we pride ourselves on supplying wild game meats, which are
supplied to us by a local company called Premium Game Limited. At Premium
Game, they can tell you not only when your meat was killed but which hillside it
comes from and who shot it!

We specialise in supplying a selection of local Marlborough wines, many from
small boutique wineries without cellar doors. The idea is to give our guests the
opportunity to enjoy a taste of the range of wines that Marlborough has to offer
- and especially to sample wines which are not often seen in the shops.
Similarly you can taste a selection of fine Marlborough boutique beers - a
well-kept secret of the region.
In addition to these wines and beers we also stock the more usual range of
drinks and our full drinks list is shown below. You'll see that we stock some
organic and full berry (not concentrate) juices.
